Routine Appointments

Standard face to face GP appointments are for 10 minutes. It will help us greatly if you could let us know if you need a shorter or longer time when you book your appointment with the receptionist.

Urgent Appointments

Urgent cases will be seen as soon as possible. Please telephone the surgery on 01392 860273, and the receptionist will be happy to accommodate your needs.

Missed Appointments

Missed appointments mean that other patients are unable to see the doctor or nurse when they want. Please ring as soon as possible if you want to cancel an appointment.

Request Ambulance

If you require an emergency ambulance you should dial 999. For any other ambulance requests, please telephone the surgery on 01392 860273 where a member of staff will be able to assist you. 

Home Visits

If you are too ill to attend the surgery, the doctor will visit you at your home. We would be grateful of you could phone before 10:00am. Telephone the surgery on 01392 860273 to request a visit, and the receptionist will be happy to assist you.

You will need to give the receptionist some idea of the problem indicating the degree of urgency.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
